Being your best ally through yoga

Yoga offers the opportunity to listen more deeply to your body, quiet the mind, and cultivate a steady relationship with yourself that extends far beyond the mat.

The Heart of My Practice

Yoga has been one of Nancy's greatest teachers, helping her cultivate a kinder relationship with herself and an inner steadiness she can return to no matter what life brings. Through years of practice, she has discovered that one of yoga's greatest gifts isn't becoming someone different—it's learning to come home to yourself with honesty, compassion, and acceptance.

At its heart, yoga invites us to turn inward. Sometimes what we find isn't comfortable or what we hoped to see. Yet it is only by meeting ourselves as we are that lasting change becomes possible. Acceptance doesn't mean liking everything we discover or giving up on growth. Rather, it means embracing what is true in this moment and meeting yourself with openness rather than resistance.

Being your own best ally begins with accepting the reality of who you are today and learning to work with your body, heart, and mind as they are—not as you think they should be. From that place, change arises not from self-judgment, but from self-awareness, compassion, and a willingness to stay present with what is true. As we learn to accept ourselves with kindness, we begin to build a relationship with ourselves based on trust rather than criticism.

Yoga is a lifelong practice that continues to unfold through sustained commitment. The physical practices cultivate strength, resilience, balance, vitality, and ease in the body. Breathwork and meditation create space for greater clarity, presence, and an inner steadiness that serves as an anchor when life feels uncertain.

Life doesn't suddenly become free of challenges, disappointments, or heartbreak because we practice yoga. Rather, yoga gives us the tools to meet those moments with greater awareness, resilience, and grace. We still encounter rough waters—but we learn how to navigate them with more skill, recover more quickly, and remain connected to ourselves through it all.

Nancy believes yoga isn't about striving to become a better version of yourself. It's about remembering that you are already worthy of your own care, compassion, and attention—and learning to live from that place. Her intention is to create a welcoming space where students feel accepted, supported, and empowered to trust their own inner wisdom. Whether someone comes seeking greater strength, more peace of mind, or simply a moment to breathe, her hope is that they leave with a deeper, more compassionate relationship with themselves—and the confidence to be their own best ally, both on and off the mat.

Teaching Style

Nancy’s class pacing is slow, steady, and mindful creating a practice that enhances sustainability and longevity. She skillfully weaves alignment-based, stair-stepped instruction with breath and an emphasis toward graceful and seamless transitions. In her classes your growth edge will expand but in a way that you get to calibrate. Nancy creates a learning environment that inspires, challenges and at the same time is welcoming and supportive. You’ll leave her class uplifted and grounded and ready for more.
