Fall Retreat in Mazama

Embracing Change: The Outer & Inner Landscape

This year's retreat theme is one that feels especially meaningful to me after experiencing the loss of both my mother and brother earlier this year. Their passing has profoundly deepened my awareness of the preciousness of life and the reality that change is woven into the human experience.

Nothing remains in stasis. We either learn how to adapt, or we risk becoming hardened, disappointed, resigned, and caught in suffering. Let me be clear: adapting to change doesn't necessarily mean you like it or would have chosen it. Most often, it means learning how to live within what has been given and finding a way forward with grace, and courage.

Even in the midst of unwanted change, there is still room to meet life as it is, honor what has been lost, stay connected to what matters most, and continue moving forward with an open heart.

Throughout the retreat, we'll explore this theme through a range of yogic tools, including breathwork, chanting, meditation, contemplation & conversation, and the physical practice of yoga, asana—both strengthening and restorative. We'll also weave in sound healing, optional massage, sauna and hot tub time.

And perhaps most importantly, there will be plenty of space to simply be. Time in nature to hike, bike, meander, rest, reflect, and connect with the land, yourself, and one another—all without pressure or agenda.

This is your time to retreat and I look forward to holding space for you.

  • “I loved the yoga retreat in Mazama. Not only was the location absolutely stunning, but the way Nancy managed it and the people she invited were incredible. I love the way she teaches and the space she holds for us all to be on our own mats, exactly as we are. So much gratitude and love.”

  • “Nancy is one of the most capable, compassionate facilitators I’ve ever met. She cultivated a weekend that was so much more than a yoga retreat — she helped us form a beautiful community, learn new ways to rest and connect, and kept us feeling grounded and affirmed.”
